Dear Lisa,   Many thanks for your call just now; I can confirm that my last conversation with West Midlands Police was at:   1110 Sat 25/04 PC 5554 Broadley of WMP rang - I reported Philip and Colin's 'encroachment'; Crime Numbers: 20DY/97321X/20 - ASB and 20DY/97326N/20 - Assault.    I must note that you are in agreement with my claim that dogs should not be kept by tenants if no private or dedicated garden is available; yes, the problem is the stance taken by senior managers, and even, I would suggest, by certain Councillors - the current farcical position may well have been influenced by the long-serving Cabinet Member for Housing (until recently), Gaye Partridge, who is not only 'canophillic', but also runs a large dog that, she tells me, will not defecate in her own rear garden! So it has to be toileted on the street or in the parks! Cllr Partridge has used her influence, even, to have signs erected in the local cemetery that dogs should be kept on leads, thus encouraging dog-walking where there has been, save for 'assistance' dogs, a long-standing ban! Civilised man has 'is work cut-out!   Yours etc,   David Austin Lye Village Stourbridge
